Drinking tea brings peace to the body.  It has medicinal properties.  It cures and prevents various diseases.  However, it also has the ability to beautify.  Green tea can be an easy and constant companion for skin and hair care.

We have a spiritual relationship with tea.  For Bengalis, tea is not a mere drink.  It is an emotion.  There are very few Bengalis who do not drink tea at least once a day.  In terms of nutrition, tea is now at the superfood level.  And also as an element of beauty but it does not go less.  In this case, of course, green tea is ahead.  In addition to drinking tea for beautiful healthy skin and hair, it can also be added to the beauty routine.

As anti-aging

Green tea is much more effective in preventing premature aging of the skin.  A 2003 study found that the anti-oxidant epigallocatechin gallate, or EGCG, had the ability to regenerate dead cells.  This anti-oxidant fights against the aging symptoms of the skin by repairing and protecting the skin cells.  In addition, it makes dull skin fresh and healthy.  In addition, vitamin B2 in green tea helps maintain collagen levels in the skin.  This collagen makes the skin look young.

Reduces redness and inflammation of the skin

Green tea contains high quality polyphenols.  It is an anti-inflammatory ingredient.  For this, using green tea on the skin reduces redness and inflammation.  Not only that, this anti-inflammatory ingredient can soothe various skin diseases like psoriasis, dermatitis, burns or itching caused by rosacea.  For this, green tea should be used topically, i.e. directly on the skin as a remedy.

Acne prevention

The anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial ingredients of green tea can act as a solution for acne and excessively oily skin.  Several studies have shown that its polyphenols are able to reduce skin sebum secretion.  Excess sebum causes acne.

In addition, polyphenols have the ability to prevent various infections by damaging bacterial membranes.  This means that green tea is a good remedy to control the growth of bacteria that can cause acne.

 Increase humidity

It contains vitamin E.  Vitamin E nourishes the skin, moisturizes and removes roughness.

Green tea mask

There are many types of sheet masks available in the market.  However, you can easily make a green tea mask at home.  That too with just a few ingredients.  These are always in our house.  This requires one tablespoon of green tea-leaf powder, one tablespoon of baking soda, one tablespoon of honey and a little water.  Mix all the ingredients together to make a thick mixture and apply on the face and neck.  Leave it for 10 to 15 minutes and wash your face with lukewarm water.

For hair

Green tea reduces hair fall.  And by providing nutrition, it helps new hair to grow and grow.  This is also due to the anti-oxidant called epigallocatecin gallate in green tea.  Mixing three tablespoons of green tea water or powder with coconut oil and applying it on the scalp at least twice a week will make the hair roots strong and the hair will look healthy.
