We are all going through an uncertain time.  Corona has changed our lives a lot.  This has an adverse effect on the skin.  For this reason, various skin problems are appearing during the lockdown.  This was discussed in the second episode of the special program 'Skin Talk' dedicated to SKF.  This time the topic was 'Lockdown Skin Problems and Remedies'.  Mir Arsia Zaman was the guest of honor at the event, Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Associate Professor of Dermatology and Venereology.  Masuda Khatun.  The show aired live on June 14 on Prothom Alo and SKF's official Facebook page.

At the beginning of the program to know about healthy skin.  Dr.  Masuda Khatun said that the complexion of healthy skin will be the same everywhere.  Somewhere it will be fair, somewhere it will not be black.  Will not be excessively oily or dry.  There will be no spots or sores anywhere on healthy skin.

There are several skin problems during lockdown.  The skin is turning black or the skin is becoming pale after a long stay in the house and less sun exposure.  In addition, there is an impression of fatigue on the face of many.  Those who already had skin problems, it has increased anew.  Because, he could not get good treatment for lockdown.  As a result of staying at home, many people have become reluctant to take care of their skin.  As a result, oily skin has become more oily.  Dry skin has become excessively dry.  Vitamin D is also very important for the skin.  Vitamin D is deficient in the skin and body due to less sun exposure from house arrest.  Again, many are getting tired of the lockdown.  It has an effect on the skin.

There is a subtle link between mental health and skin health.  Dr.  Masuda Khatun said skin is a mirror of human health;  Especially mental health.  If someone has a skin problem, he goes into depression.  And the stress that is happening from home in lockdown is creating a lot of bad habits.  For example, teenage children are getting fat from home.  Because, they are buying food by ordering online for stress relief.  Taking Khawadawa as a recreation.  Eating unhealthy foods causes stretch marks on the skin and black spots on the neck.  Waking up at night, and sleeping during the day.  The ink is falling under the eyes.  For these reasons, the growth of children is abnormal.  Being taller is shorter.  And due to the lack of vitamin D, the bone structure in the body is not getting better, the metabolism is not going well.  The effects of aging on the skin of middle-aged men and women are falling very fast just because of the lack of movement and stress.

People who suffer from various skin problems need to follow a good diet.  About this Dr.  Masuda Khatun said, it is better to eat less rice.  Adequate amount of fish, meat, pulses and vegetables should be eaten with it.  Meat is good for kids, but adults should eat less of it.  The diet must have fruit.  Keep in mind that rice is one third of a plate and the other two parts are vegetables and fish and meat.  Sugar, carbonated drinks should be avoided.  Instead, it is better to eat seasonal fruits such as mango, pineapple and lemon juice.  Drink plenty of water.
